Sage X3 SaaS in About 12 Weeks — Using a Preconfigured Golden Image

A defined-scope, senior-led Sage X3 SaaS deployment built on Sage's preconfigured U.S. Golden Image — roughly 400 hours of PRH consulting effort and a predictable implementation investment.

PRH delivers Sage X3 SaaS rapid deployment for U.S. mid-market manufacturers and distributors, built around Sage's preconfigured U.S. Golden Image and delivered by our senior implementation team. It's a defined-scope approach — roughly 400 hours of PRH consulting effort, about 50 consultant-days — designed to reach go-live in approximately 12 weeks, with a predictable implementation investment rather than an open-ended budget. It's particularly well suited to beverage manufacturers, food producers, and wholesale distributors.

This offering applies specifically to Sage X3 SaaS using the U.S. Golden Image. It is not a universal approach for every Sage X3 deployment, country, legislation, hosting model, or customer situation.

Why it's faster

A conventional ERP build starts from a near-empty system, and much of the early effort goes into designing and configuring things the industry already does in well-understood ways. The Golden Image starts you well past that point: much of the standard finance, distribution, manufacturing, reporting, security-role, and implementation foundation is already configured and tested. We spend our time tailoring that foundation to your business rather than assembling it from scratch — which is what removes the slowest, most error-prone stretch of a traditional project.

What's already configured and tested

The U.S. Golden Image arrives with a working, tested foundation:

Finance and distribution

Chart of accounts with analytical dimensions, GL/AP/AR, multi-company, multi-site and multi-currency structure, bank file generation (including NACHA ACH and positive pay), procure-to-pay and order-to-cash flows, approval workflows, and price lists.

Manufacturing — where manufacturing is licensed and included in scope

Bills of material, routings, work-order costing, WIP tracking, and material requirements planning (MRP). The image supports either a finance-and-distribution deployment, or a finance, distribution, and manufacturing deployment when manufacturing is part of your license and your project scope.

Reporting and security

A preconfigured reporting and dashboard pack, plus purpose-built user roles aligned to standard processes.

Implementation toolkit

Landing pages, process maps, import templates, and documented operating procedures that keep the project moving.

What to expect — and what it depends on

We're specific about the numbers because vague promises get exposed later:

Approximately 50 consultant-days — roughly 400 hours — of PRH consulting effort

To deliver a qualified, standard-scope project. This is consulting effort, not 50 calendar days.

Go-live in approximately 12 weeks

Supported through go-live and your first month-end close.

A defined scope and fixed implementation price after qualification

Set once we've reviewed your requirements, not quoted blindly beforehand.

The 12-week target holds when the project stays within a qualified standard scope and both sides do their part. In practice, timing depends on a qualified standard scope, timely customer decisions and sign-offs, completed data templates, available and knowledgeable key users, timely testing, and no substantial custom development or scope expansion.

What we own, and what you own

Rapid deployment is collaborative, and the split is clear from day one.

PRH is responsible for:

  • Reviewing your processes against the preconfigured solution
  • Configuring the Sage X3 environment
  • Explaining and supporting the data migration templates
  • Training your key users
  • Supporting your data imports
  • Supporting user acceptance testing
  • Resolving configuration issues
  • Assisting with go-live
  • Supporting your first month-end close

You are responsible for:

  • Completing the data and master-data templates
  • Cleaning and validating your data
  • Providing knowledgeable key users
  • Performing user acceptance testing
  • Approving the configured solution
  • Training your end users, with PRH guidance
  • Completing your assigned cutover activities
  • Making timely decisions and sign-offs

What we tailor to you

The Golden Image provides the tested foundation; we handle the personalization that makes it yours:

  • Companies and sites
  • Users and security assignments
  • Bank accounts and payment-file details
  • Chart of accounts and analytical dimensions
  • Fiscal calendar, where applicable
  • Inventory valuation method, where applicable
  • Customer, supplier, product, and other master data
  • Relevant standard entry transactions and workflows
  • Your licensed finance, distribution, and manufacturing settings

What is typically outside the rapid deployment scope

A defined scope is what keeps the timeline and the investment predictable. The following are generally handled outside the rapid deployment, and can be scoped separately as a later phase:

  • Custom development
  • Highly specialized or nonstandard workflows
  • Complex third-party integrations
  • Historical transactional data conversion
  • Intercompany automation
  • EDI, transportation, warehouse, or production requirements beyond the standard scope
  • Direct-print infrastructure and Vasion configuration
  • Extensive custom reporting
  • Processes that cannot reasonably adapt to the standard solution

How the project runs

Four clear phases, with a brief initiation step up front and governance running throughout:

  1. 1

    Define

Review your business flows against the preconfigured solution and plan data migration.

  2. 2

    Build

Configure your tailored settings, create users, and load your data.

  3. 3

    Validate

Key-user training, user acceptance testing, and sign-off.

  4. 4

    Deploy

Final data load, cutover, go-live support, and first month-end close.

Is rapid deployment right for you?

Rapid deployment is the strongest fit for companies ready to adopt proven, standard processes in exchange for speed and a predictable investment. It suits U.S. mid-market manufacturers, distributors, beverage and food producers, and wholesale operations whose processes fit — or can adapt to — well-established best practice.

If your business requires extensive customization or genuinely cannot conform to the standard model, we'll say so and recommend a conventional implementation instead. You'll get senior Sage X3 judgment on which path fits, not a fixed timeline forced over the wrong project.
